Every week we aggregate NHL Power Rankings from around the Web and re-rank all 30 teams based on their average rankings. We pull rankings from: ESPN, CBS Sports, SI, and FOX Sports.

If two or more teams have the same Average for a given week then the team with the better Strength of Schedule will be ranked higher.

Check out our Week 2 Heat Chart to see how each of the four sites we pull rankings from ranked all 30 teams.

We post every week! Follow us on Twitter or Facebook to never miss a post.

The ‘Guru Rank’ column indicates each team’s ranking based upon the Average for a given week.

The ‘Move’ column shows each team’s movement by comparing the Guru Rank for the current week with the Guru Rank for the previous week.

The ‘Hi/Lo’ column shows a team’s highest and lowest power ranking for the current week across the List of Four weekly power rankings.

The ‘What to Watch’ box at the top of the page displays the best series of the upcoming week, as determined by adding together the current Average for the two teams playing in each series. The smallest aggregate current Average will determine which series is listed in ‘What to Watch’.

The ‘Biggest Movers’ box shows which teams moved up and down the most from their Guru Rank (current week versus previous week) and by how much.
